I am trying to find some information about a model 088 single shot shotgun with serial number AZ prefix. I have found a listing for AX and AY of 1981, 1982 respectively. 1982 being the last entry. Do I assume that my model 88 is from 1983? h & r 949 manufacture date. I just purchased a harrington and richardson 22 lr model 949 serial number ax and 6 digets. Can you tell me the date of manufacture and value. It is what I call mint cond. 100% blueing, mint wood grips and very tight. Seller said it set in night stand for years, maybe shot 200 rounds thru it.It is an H&R Arms Company .38 S&W CTGE, that is on the left side of the barrel.
